That was a fair evening with soothing sunlight finding its way to the earth through cool clouds lingering above. As a daily practice, the gentlemen of ten years and so far the uncrowned kings of the five streets (kids don't venture beyond five streets. That's what I believe) where each street lie parallel to every other came out to the roads to practice their daily routine, playing. Today they are going to play their and my favourite hide and seek. Well, Hide and seek is the game of finding naughty little kids from their hiding by their sweet loving parent or a group of mischievous fellows by a daring officer. The former is played by babies with their parents with smile all over their face, the smile which says that they are happy and grateful to be born to this world 'cause they know thinking of hiding something sweet to their parents that means them the world and the latter by the younger cubs. After school and obviously in their holidays, this has been one of their evening exercise. They go from home to home calling for their friends like a crow calling to its flock to join the mock. They go in groups or alone, stand in front of the gates and call out the names. If the call is not answered, they pass the gate and again shout the names now standing in front of the door. Now if the door is ajar, they peep inside looking for their friend like a rat peeping from its nest. If nothing came, they frown over that friend until out of his home and forgets it instantly on seeing another. If the culprit was found inside writing his work, he won't be let alone easily. They get to him like a new pup to its pack and nags him to come along, say that he is essential and so on or just drags him out if there is no one in. If there are sufficient people, then it's playtime. If at loss, then they wander through the streets finding other games to spend time. They gather in groups on the streets, counting the number of heads present, thinking of winning, thinking of having fun together, to completely cherish their togetherness, to cherish a being as same as them. If everything looks perfect, then without a second waste, they start to play though there may occur some delays due to the call from the parents to occupy them with some small shopping work or some scolding for what they had done in the school or some days before trying to hide something naughty. If someone leaves due to the above reasons, then they will be frowned upon. But that won't matter anymore since they are now in the streets. It's now the time to find who is going to be the strict officer who picks out the thieves from their hiding. But be alert, if any of the thief ventures into the station while the officer is absent then he may free all of this mates from their imprisonment. So the officer should be always be aware of the situation in his station. That tough is the job of an officer. He should find out the thieves and also keep a look over his station. So he is put in a position to plan out his moves carefully. Since this is a tough, brain-pricking job no one would want to play this role. But be remembered, even a rat will become a raven if it has to play it's part. So even a weeny whiny cub will become a fully grown cat after assuming it's position, in this case a kid becomes a gaudy officer. The police is then selected by using some witty techniques that is employed only by the kids. Then the courageous officer gives the thieves a chance to try their luck by counting from one to fifty or hundred (depends on the generosity of the officer). Those who fail to find their hideouts may get caught immediately, depending on the luck. Those who are hidden wait for their chance to ruin the station so the officer has to replenish the station and has to start again. On that day, one of the luckiest boy got the role to play the officer. On the count, everybody found their place to hide and were completely hidden.
Let's see where the players were. The station looked like a lamp post. It was a lamp post. Most lamp posts become station where there are children. They convert anything into anything that is convenient for them. Now as said earlier the officer gives sometime for the thieves to hide. And to show his pride he closes his eyes not to know even the path they took to hide. That was the courage of the officer. Now the cunning thieves would not want to give even a single chance of knowing where they are. They choose their places carefully. They take the chance given by the officer and find places that are that are hidden to the plain sight. Only a witted officer can find them. They hide inside thick bushes, climbs upon the trees to hide from sight, some simply lay down on the grassy floor along the sides of the roads where the roads are levelled up than the ground. And yes those roads are not like highways. They are simple roads which are traversed by means of walk, cycles and seldomly by bikes. Those roads belong to such colony. They squeeze themselves in gaps between two houses. They use walls between houses as the path to traverse between hiding places. Yes, they shift their places if they find them not safe. But no place is safe if the officer is determined and witty. It's not allowed there to hide inside their houses. But anywhere is ok. If any place is unoccupied by anyone else then they can hide there. Even a home that was constructed but unoccupied could become their hiding place and thieves like dark and damp places like that. But venturing alone inside the den of thieves is dangerous even for a daring officer. So in those cases two or more officers would be employed to take care of the thieves. There were cases when thieves are all determined to destroy the station. So they come as a mob to attack the station. A single officer against those many, not a chance even for a good officer. This happens when they don't go well with the officer or when they want the same officer to hunt for them forever. But this does not happen often. Because the thieves know that today's thief is to be the tomorrow's police. Yes, even the convicted are given chances. That day as many were present fortunately, it was decided that enough force must be employed to stop the thieves. So three police officers were set for the duty to catch about twelve whose lurking lair spanned across three streets of twelve houses length. That's a tough job but if enough will and wits are employed nought is tough. Suddenly the thieves were underhanded, getting caught unable to escape the dominant hands of the valiant officers. Though they were thieves they stole for the sake of the others, those who were oppressed by poverty. They were kind-hearted and good souled. They were as same as the one who reigned merrily in the forests of Yorkshire, a noble and a novel heart of a peerless man if the tales are real, The Robinhood, the king of the crew which never laid their men and the men who hoped down. So there came a situation where only a little of thieves to be arrested. There were two young fellow, one being younger than the other being like a brother of the other, who were consistently thinking of saving their friends from this pinch. Both were ready to make a desperate attempt to relieve out from this situation. But the elder said stop and made a desperate run to save their mates from the end of the road which was of twelve houses length. He tried to catch the officer off-guard who was away from his station, the others being away to catch the missing ones and release his friends from his hold but alas he was seen before his last leap towards the station and the vigilant officer reached the station first and caught the brave one. Then they captured everyone succeeding in their attempt. This nostalgia occured in the mind of the young officer, who one day was a thief, on seeing the same friend taking charge before every others when confronted on the borders with gun in his hand, will in his heart and smile on his face.
A great day to begin with the breaking of dawn, twilight, the orange-red light gleaming the sky. A consoling weather. The cyclic work for the beings of the world begins. Two small goblins dressed green from top to bottom started their strolling along the streets paved in between the rows of houses in a nonlinear line-up typical of a residence of goblins with brown paved roofs, short chimneys extending from the side porch seldom releasing smoke into the air, built with red baked bricks falling off the order with the same hope of finding gold along their stroll and play. The streets are lively with charming goblins with the hope of trading their gold to buy their daily needs. like all the beings on earth, the goblins have their unreasonable love with the gold and every other being feels the same way though the desire of the goblins for the gold is inexplicable and that love is what makes them look for the gold even when the likely possibility is zero. So because of the same incomprehensible desire, the two charming little jolly heads strolled the streets. As they strolled, they crossed a groggy figure gurgling its mouth agape and continued gurgling up and down potting water from the fountain before. It was gurgling, that's all, not knowing what's happening around. I think that's why they are called gargoyles. It was standing in front of a huge grey building whose walls carried the figures of the same being. I think it was their way to have their portraits. weird though. The two boys enjoyed seeing him happily gurgling and having his time spent heartily in his own way. They said hello to him and strolled along. he replied in his own way though. the place where gargoyles reside is pretty rugged as the roads are rugged, the way to the porch and verandas are rugged, sidewalks too are rugged. even though that is a great place to live with your friends and kins. every place becomes wonderful when we have friends and kins to enjoy. The boys are on their way to gold. to have their gold they have to definitely pass through places where their friends reside. After some jolly jumps and runs, they are in the colony of some beings huge and sturdy. even though they appear hostile their hearts are as soft as a cotton candy but pumps the red blood throughout their body. they are looking alive with their sports, games and chats, they won't harm others knowingly or unknowingly as their hearts are as fluffy as a cotton candy. They are as huge as an adult basketball player to a teen. But ain't dangerous. They live in huge caves that they have built for themselves by carving and etching. though this seems to be a lengthy work, they are so fast as they don't seem to be. the food they eat is also large as them which is grown in their own garden with their own special nutrients. They grow large brinjals, long drumsticks, very round and large tomatoes and so on. they know that their harvests would help others as one tomato grown by them is sufficient for a meal. So they are always good to provide others with some of their harvests for free. they know there is no happiness without sharing. They saw a wonderful sight as they passed by and decided to watch this scene by sitting under a tree which was inside the home of a giant (as they called them). The tree was so large that it spread its shade so generously over a large area.they lied their back on the huge bark of the tree with their two palms at the back of their heads, enjoying the cool shade given to all by the giant tree and hence by that giant too, as no home of a giant had a gate and is open to everyone at any time. I think their hearts are proportionately so huge compared with the rest of their body. They watched the giant scattering food for some dogs, though some may not be of his. The dogs are very much happy and are merrily having their biscuits strewn all over the place before the porch of his home. They merrily ran to him for their second round. rounding, licking him and barking merrily, running between his legs and around him. as the dogs are in merry, they made the giant stumble and fell with a stomp on the ground. He was laughing merrily as the dogs ran over his body and were licking his face and ears. What a merry moment to see. The boys enjoyed watching this scene and had a merriment that filled their heart with the pure feeling of voidness, a feeling that arises when you have the feeling of living a true living(though this could only be felt and explaining won't do any good). It is true that happiness amounts to the times you share them with others and it is also true even a mountain could be moved with pure love. They said their hello and went on again. there they are steadily continuing their pace to get their gold. Now, they passed through the colony of creatures whom may seem disgusting to us but not within their own kind or nor among others. They are the ogres. Many outside this world believe that ogres devour beings other than their own kind. But that is not true. They are so kind that their kindness may even make a stone cry. After all, kindness is the true nature of every being, every beings absolute nature. The ogres are always seen smiling. They say they have a smiling face. Despite their appearance, they are very deeply friendly. There was an ogre old and very very old sitting on a chair enjoying this gloomy climate. He was having some tea and cookies with a very wise and a peaceful smile which could only be connected with the old age. He saw those two boys strolling across his home and he was very much acquainted with them as they strolled across his home every day. He called those naughty little brats as he had always called them to have some tea and cookies with him and to accompany and inspire him with the fondness of childhood. They had a great time together, the boys laughing at the inability of the toothless old to bite his cookies. Then why was he having cookies? The answer is so simple. Because he could taste them by dipping them in his tea or milk. Wasn't is wise of him? The olds and children are always like that. The boys had their part of their share and were merrily enjoying their time. along having cookies. They quarrelled over their shares, fought over their opinions, rolled on the ground for their fair chances. The old ogre was laughing with tears brimming from his eyes, down to the ground from his chair, laughed heartily and from the very bottom of his heart. He for those time was one among those boys equalling them in their frayness and also in their cuteness. Though this happens every time, they always play anew and never ever ceased to have fun. After a hearty meal, the boys went on their day's hunt. Already they have collected uncountable amount of gold, haven't they and they too shared what they always had with them. They had now come to the place what we would call as worldly heaven as it supposed to be. This is where the fairies and pixies live. though it appeared heavenly to us, it wasn't the case for them as they were always in their heaven with the characteristics that are only blessed to the unbiasing heart of a child. The imps are with the fairies. Shouldn't they be fighting with each other? Imps, they always played pranks among them and also with others. So they are considered naughty and bad. But playing pranks makes some child bad. No, actually it is a good sign of always being a child. truly they are childlike. That's why unlike as others outside this world think they ain't bad. The imps were playing with the seeds that were stolen from the rucksack of some fairies. They were throwing these seeds picked through hard work of the fairies, purposelessly. but this purposelessness is the very one that made this land into a garland with so many assorted varieties. But how do we get so many wishes from the fairies? that's because they always get caught while playing pranks with us. The imps as we know always are smiling and fairies, they too as we know are charming. They were too little when they are compared with the goblins. They went in through their pockets, through their trousers and shirts which made the boys roll on the ground as they were tickled unknowingly by the imps and fairies because of their curiosity to know what's with the strangers even though they aren't. A minute after, the boys were like as though awake a second before. the hair of the boys was completely played with. The imps on and over their heads, going in and out through the thick bunch of strands of hair as though the imps were exploring a thicket for food or a mob searching for money through bushes and shrubs. Their continuous giggling made them choke and by knowing this the pixies, fairies and the imps got out of them. The boys glittered the same time they were dirty. They were glittering and dirty. The amount of dirt on them showed how they well they were playing and the amount of glitterness showed how much they enjoyed. They walked out of the garden spreading the dust and the sparkling powder, which showed some contrast to normal human brain. They walked and walked and at last reached their home again ending their hunt with unfathomable happiness, the bag of gold they wished for.
